Hot Weather Conditions Forecast For Today

Amman, June 20 (Petra)--The temperature, on Thursday, is approximately 7 to 8 degrees Celsius higher than average for this time of year.
The weather will be hot and dry over the mountain heights and extremely hot throughout the rest of the region, with some clouds appearing at medium and high altitudes.
Winds will be northwesterly moderate, picking up at times.
The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) warned of the risks associated with dehydration and direct sunlight exposure, particularly with regard to the health of the elderly and sick.
It also discusses the possibility of forest fires, the peril of leaving children in closed vehicles, even for a brief time, and the danger of leaving flammable materials, perfumes, and sterilizers inside of cars.
Temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 38 degrees Celsius and a low of 23 degrees.
Highs in the port city of Aqaba will reach 45 degrees during the day, sliding to 29 degrees at night.
