Pletenchuk: Russians Deploy One Submarine At Time To Black Sea

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In the Black Sea, the Russian army has chosen the tactic of being represented by submarines.
This was announced by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Captain 3rd Rank Dmytro Pletenchuk, at a briefing at the media Centre Ukraine - Ukrinform.
"We have three submarines that go to sea. Two of them are carriers. One of them is currently at sea. It is the so-called Warsaw submarine," the spokesman said.
According to Pletenchuk, the Russian Black Sea Fleet has a total of 7 submarines. Six of them are cruise missile carriers. Out of these six submarines, two remained outside the waters of the Azov-Black Sea region at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. They are probably currently undergoing maintenance at a shipyard in St Petersburg.
Of the 5 submarines, one was destroyed by the Ukrainian Air Force . Another submarine is not coming out and is probably undergoing maintenance. "That is, we have three submarines that go to sea. Two of them are carriers. One of them is currently at sea. This is the so-called Warsaw submarine."
Pletenchuk noted that these submarines are on duty in the Black Sea in shifts. "This format of presence was probably adopted by the new leadership of the Russian Navy. Because, in principle, it is the air component that has taken on the main burden. More than a dozen planes a day are in the airspace in the Black Sea," he said, adding that aviation is present in different formats: from drones to helicopters.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, as of the morning of 18 June, Russia has one warship in the Black Sea, which is a Kalibr carrier , with a total volley of up to 4 missiles. In the Sea of Azov, there are six enemy ships, three of which are Kalibr carriers, with a total volley of up to 24 missiles.
In addition, the Russian Federation has one warship in the Mediterranean Sea, which is a Kalibr carrier with a total capacity of up to 8 missiles.
