DGFT Mumbai Hosts E-Commerce Export Summit For International Trade

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) Mumbai, in collaboration with the customs Department, India Post, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Amazon, and other stakeholders from the e-commerce ecosystem, organised an e-commerce Export Summit in Mumbai on Friday.

The summit was addressed by R.K. Mishra, Additional Director, DGFT, Amitabh Singh, Postmaster General, and Harish Dharnia, Commissioner of Air Cargo, Mumbai.

Detailed sessions were conducted on various aspects of e-commerce exports, including Customs regulations, facilities provided by India Post, and e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Rivexa, Shiprocket, and DHL.

More than 100 exporters and entrepreneurs attended the summit, which aimed to elaborate on the various aspects of e-commerce trade.

The organisers highlighted the vast opportunities available in the international e-commerce market and expressed their commitment to addressing concerns and fine-tuning strategies to boost e-commerce exports and penetrate new international markets.

The feedback received during the summit will be instrumental in shaping future initiatives, according to the organisers.

The DGFT Mumbai has plans to conduct similar programs in other cities across Maharashtra to further promote and facilitate e-commerce exports.
