ADB's Forecast For Economic Growth In Central, Western Asia Remains Positive - Eugenue Zhukov


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TBİLİSİ, Georgia, May 4. ADB's forecast foreconomic growth in Central and Western Asia countries remainspositive, ADB Director General for Central and Western Asia EugenueZhukov said during the briefing at the ADB annual meeting inTbilisi today, Trend reports.

“In general, ADB's forecast for the countries of Central andWestern Asia is very positive. There is a slight slowdown thisyear. Inflation will also come down. Certainly, some shocks couldmaterialize due to slowing economic growth in neighboring countriesand high food and energy prices. Inflationary pressures couldalways resume. Geopolitical tensions could also affect the economy reforms are ongoing, policies are right, and countries canovercome the challenges. Climate change has created very seriousdisasters in Central and Western Asian countries,” he said.
