(MENAFN- IANS) Jaipur, Sep 30 (IANS) A new report has revealed that there were 444 incidents of cow slaughter in Rajasthan between October 2020 and August 2023.
Reference sources of all the incidents along with pictures and news cuttings were also attached in the report released on Friday, the second day of the Shekhawati Sahitya Sangam in Jaipur.
It was made under the direction of Deep Kumar, head of archives of Vishwa Samvad Kendra (VSK).
Deep Kumar said that VSK has tried to bring out the fact that today the cattle smugglers are targeting destitute cows as well as those being reared in domestic and cow sheds.
Therefore, the government should make policies and strategies and take strict steps to stop such incidents, he said
"Cow smuggling is completely illegal and unconstitutional. Such incidents not only harm the faith and employment of the common people but also give options to organised criminal groups to create a chaotic situation by questioning the law and security system.
"The money obtained from cow smuggling is spent only on anti-social activities. Therefore, everyone should get organized to stop cow smuggling," Deep Kumar said.
