Doha, Qatar: Al Rayyan Sports Club yesterday unveiled their highly ambitious strategy for the upcoming season, named 'Plan 76', during a ceremony held at the VIP hall at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.
The comprehensive plan, named after the year of which Al Rayyan captured their maiden Qatar Stars League title, outlines the club's objectives for the forthcoming period, spanning not only football but a range of other sports.
The ceremony took place in the presence of H E sheikh Al Qaqa bin Hamad Al Thani, the newly elected President of Al Rayyan Club, as well as the club's founders, members, and ardent fans.

Al Rayyan SC's General Supervisor Mohamed Al Atwan revealed the club's new strategy, stressing that careful planning has been undertaken by the new administration as The Lions are poised to secure the position they rightfully deserve.
Al Atwan added that a working group has been formed to develop a plan with clear goals that would enable the club to make tangible progress at all levels.
He added, "In our pursuit of this vision, we've meticulously outlined the guiding principles and strategies that underpin our pursuits. Sporting excellence and player development stand prominently among our priorities."
Al Atwan also highlighted key objectives of the new management, stating, "Our message is encapsulated by sporting excellence, unwavering adherence to principles, community engagement through manifold initiatives, coupled with a commitment to financial sustainability via diversified revenue streams. We're establishing partnerships and agreements with governmental bodies and corporations to bolster our budget. Concurrently, our administrative framework will be enhanced with transparent roles, responsibilities, and an organisational structure befitting a professional institution."
Also yesterday, Al Rayyan unveiled Portuguese Leonardo Jardim as their new head coach.

Jardim, who replaced Nicolas Cordova who departed the club in May, will assume responsibility for the technical management of the first football team until the summer of 2025.
During a press conference held at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, the 49-year-old coach spoke about his team's goals in the new season, adding that the goal is to bring Al Rayyan back to their rightful place. He also pointed out that a clear plan has been developed with the aim of achieving the desired results in the next season, and build a competitive team that can win all available titles.
Al Rayyan, who finished a below-par ninth last season in the QSL, have bolstered their squad with nine new players.
The former coach of Monaco, Jardim, pointed out that the new players were contracted after consultations between the club's management and the technical staff, stressing the need for Al Rayyan to remain highly competitive.
Later yesterday, Al Rayyan defeated Al Ahli 2-1 in their final friendly match before the kick off of the season, at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.
New signings Rodrigo Moreno and Shogo Taniguchi scored for the winners in front of a large crowd.
Al Rayyan had completed a preparatory camp in Austria and returned to Doha on Tuesday. During the camp, it played six friendly matches against the Hungarian Honved, Saudi club Al Fayhaa, Austrian side Korniberg, Al Qasl of the UAE, and the first and second teams of the Italian club Udinese.
Al Rayyan will kick off their QSL campaign against Al Markhiya on August 17 at Al Janoub Stadium.
