Yemen Mod Cautions Against Interdependence Among Militant Orgs.

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ADEN, Aug 8 (KUNA) -- Yemeni Defense Minister Lt.-Gen. Staff Mohsen Al-Da'eri said Tuesday there is a serious interdependence among the Houthi militias, the so-called Islamic State (IS or Daesh) and Al-Qaeda organization.
During his meeting with Roxana Bazargan, director of the Political affairs dept. of the Office of the Special Envoy of UN Secretary-General for Yemen (OSESGY), Lt.-Gen. Staff Al-Da'eri warned that cooperation among the three militant groups could destabilize security in the liberated areas.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments of the situation in Yemen, according to Yemen News Agency (SABA).
The Yemeni minister noted that the Houthi Militias pose threat not only to Yemen but to the entire region and the world as well.
The Houthi militias persist in hostilities and continue attacking the positions of the regular troops, paying no need to their obligations under previously-signed deals, he pointed out.
Lt.-Gen. Staff Al-Da'eri urged the UN and the international community at large to adopt a more decisive stance against the stubbornness and intransigent attitude of the Houthi militias towards the peace efforts. (end)
