Africa has good prospects in becoming international leader in exploration also geothermal potential
(MENAFN) Sergey Machekhin, informed a news agency during this week that the African continent has decent predictions of becoming the international president in examination as well as usage of its geothermal possibilities, the deputy Chief of Russian power firm RusHydro.
In line with Machekhin, the firm is presently bearing in mind 15 missions in 11 African nations.
“Exploration and development of the geothermal potential is one more area of our active operations in Africa. “We are proactively working in Egypt with counterparts from Rosatom, where we are designing the waterworks segment and structures for the El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant. We are well remembered and known in Sudan; we are ready to talk to them on the upgrade of their facilities,” Machekhin said, also noting that RusHydro is also near closing contracts with Algeria as well as Ethiopia.
