Saudi Arabia Calls On Its Citizens To Leave Lebanon Quickly

(MENAFN- Khaama Press) Saudi Arabia's Embassy in Lebanon called on its citizen on Friday to leave Lebanon as soon as possible and avoid approaching areas with armed clashes.

The embassy also stressed the importance of abiding by the Saudi travel ban to Lebanon, wishing everyone safety and security.

The statement also said, “The importance of adhering to the Saudi travel ban to Lebanon.”

On August 1, the UK amended its travel advice for Lebanon. It cautioned against“all but essential travel” to regions of the country's south close to the Ein el-Hilweh Palestinian camp.

The largest Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon, Ein el-Hilweh, has seen violence between Palestinian factions since July 29, resulting in 12 deaths and more than 60 injuries.

A cease-fire between the Palestinian groups in the camp was declared to have been struck on July 31 through the mediation of Lebanese parties.

However, occasionally still, armed clashes continue between the factions.

According to the United Nations Organization for Palestinian Refugees, Ein el-Hilweh is the largest of 12 Palestinian camps in Lebanon, hosting up to 250,000 Palestinian refugees countrywide.
