Argentina requires Bolivia to clarify protection contract with Iran

(MENAFN) Argentina has demanded from Bolivia to clarify a debatable defense contract with Iran that has also brought upon remarks from antagonism parties in the capital La Paz.

Iran’s Defense Minister, Brig Gen Mohammad Ashtiani, as well as Bolivian Defense Minister, Edmundo Novillo, hosted a top-level conference on July 16. Iranian district news agency as well as state-associated Tasnim declared the contract on July 20.

Brig Gen Ashtiani stated that “in light of Bolivia's critical requirements in border defense and the fight against drug trafficking, we actively sought to establish collaborations in equipment and expertise with the country.”

Leonardo Loza, who has a seat on Bolivia's senate safety group and is associated to the governing Movement Toward Socialism party, seemed to approve the contract by stating that his nation “has the right to sign agreements with other nations”. Mr. Loza also noted that the United States was “the most dangerous country”.
