Advisor Qattan: Ksa Appreciates Importance Of Executive Council Of Foreign Ministers Of African Union In Achieving Fruitful Saudi-African Partnership


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Nairobi, July 13, 2023, SPA -- The Advisor at the Royal Court, Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan, delivered a speech today in Nairobi at the ministerial meeting of the Executive Council of Foreign Ministers of the African Union (AU), in which he reiterated that the meeting embodies the Kingdom's keenness and vision in communicating and cooperating with all African countries, and that the Kingdom appreciates the importance of the Executive Council in achieving a fruitful Saudi-African partnership.
Qattan pointed out that the meeting is a reflection of the fruitful cooperation between the Kingdom and Africa, represented by the declared support by all African countries for the Kingdom's bid to host Expo 2030, and the important partnership that will contribute to the success of the upcoming first Saudi-African summit and the fifth Arab-African summit, which the Kingdom will host this year.
He said Saudi Arabia is looking forward to achieving its Vision 2030 with more regular periodic events aimed at promoting development which the Kingdom and the African countries have been working on since 1975 as partners through the various projects implemented by the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and other Saudi financing agencies. He expressed the Kingdom's hope to work with all African countries to promote development and investment in Africa, in line with the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030.
Qattan said:“The Kingdom is the first country to support the implementation of the African Agenda 2063 through mega development projects. This agenda reflects the extent of convergence and cooperation between the Saudi Vision 2030 and the African Vision 2063.”
He underscored that the upcoming November vote in the General Assembly at the International Bureau of Exhibitions in Paris will be the first step towards realizing the objectives and foreseeing a future aimed at achieving the aspirations of peoples and the two common visions of development and prosperity. He emphasized that the African voice in support of the Kingdom will be the cornerstone for achieving a quantum leap in new concepts for Saudi-African development.
The Royal Court Advisor expressed in his speech the Kingdom's sincere appreciation to all African leaders for their unwavering support for the Kingdom's candidacy to host Expo 2030, hoping that all African voices would support the Kingdom's bid to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh.
