Wide Welcome To Amir In Iraq, Says Envoy

Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Baghdad, H E Khalid bin Hamad Al Sulaiti said that Amir H H sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani's visit to the Republic of Iraq is of great importance and is widely welcomed by various Iraqi parties.

In an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the ambassador said that the talks the Amir will hold with Iraqi Prime Minister H E Mohammed Shia Al Sudani, on both bilateral and collective levels, will cover various important bilateral, regional and international issues of common concern.

Furthermore, the talks will witness the signing of important agreements between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Iraq, including an Agreement of Joint Intent, an air transport agreement and an agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports between the two brotherly countries, in addition to the signing of other significant agreements between Qatari businessmen and their Iraqi counterparts in the oil and energy sector.

Ambassador Al Sulaiti noted that H H the Amir's visit to Iraq, which he described as a visit of support to Iraq and its brotherly people, affirms the depth of the existing relationship between the two countries in various fields, including trade, economy and investment cooperation, energy and gas sectors and other fields.
