South Korean robot to perform orchestra in its initial try


(MENAFN) A robot in South Korea is going to try and perform an orchestra for the first time ever in the county`s high-tech history.

The National Orchestra of Korea stated on Thursday that for the first time in South Korea, a robot is going to play the role of performing throughout a concert at the end of June.

The Orchestra, a traditional Korean music orchestra below the National Theater of Korea, is going to present "Absence" at Seoul's Haeoreum Grand Theater at the end of this month, with a robot as the performer.

Even though previously many robots performed orchestras in Japan and Switzerland, it is going to be the initial robot performer in South Korea.

The android robot considered "EveR 6", industrialized by the Korean Institute of Industrial Technology last year, symbolizing the human body and is capable to easily utilize its neck and arm.

Robot and performer Choi Soo-yeol is going to perform distinctly at the concert, after which the two performers are going to conduct the concert jointly.
