Jordan Observatory Picks Up 4.2-Magnitude Earthquake East Of Damascus

Amman, Apr. 15 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources' Jordanian Seismological Observatory recorded Saturday a 4.2 magnitude earthquake east of Syria's Damascus on the Syrian-Lebanese borders.
President of the observatory Ghassan Sweidan said that the earthquake, recorded at 2:25 p.m. Jordan time, occurred nearly 238 kilometers away from Amman at a depth of 12 kilometers.
