FRANKFURT - BCW Global and its clients have earned more EMEA SABRE Awards nominations than any other agency, with 14 campaigns among the finalists for this year's awards, which recognize Superior Achievement in Branding, Reputation and Engagement and will be presented during our annual awards ceremony in Frankfurt, Germany, on March 23.
Hill+Knowlton Strategies and MSL Group rounded out the top three nominated agencies, with 13 campaigns each on the shortlist. UK firm Cirkle, Finnish agency SEK and multinational independent Edelman received 11 nominations each. Other firms that made it into double figures included WPP-owned technology specialist AxiCom and global giant Weber Shandwick.
“We saw spectacular levels of creativity from across the region - Africa enjoyed a particularly strong year - and from both global agencies and local independent firms,” said Paul Holmes, who chaired the sabre judges .“This is one of those years when every single finalist earned its place on the list, often beating out competition that would have won in previous years. The EMEA region is producing high levels of creativity and real business impact.”
Among other multiple nominees were Golin (nine campaigns on the shortlist); UK-based Hope & Glory (eight); Swiss market leader Farner, Italy's INC (Istituto Nazionale per la comunicazione), Ketchum, Spanish agency LLYC and Ogilvy (seven each); APCO Worldwide, Norwegian firms Geelmuyden Kiese and Trigger, Spain's MARCO and the UK's The Romans (six); and Bijl PR of The Netherlands, UK-based Tin Man, and network agencies Team Lewis and WE Communications (five each).
