(MENAFN- Hip Hop-24) US President Joe Biden announced, Friday, the appointment of Jeff Zients as the new Chief of Staff of the White House, to succeed Ron Klein.
Klein has served as White House chief of staff since the beginning of the Biden administration in January 2021.
In a statement, Biden confirmed, "White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain has officially left office."
Accordingly, Zentz, who headed the Biden administration's response team to the Corona pandemic, will replace Klein, following up on the US president.
Biden also expressed confidence that Zentz will follow Ron's example of smart, steadfast leadership, "and we will continue to work hard every day for the people we came here to serve."
He added, "When I ran for president, I promised to make the government work in the interest of the American people.. And this is exactly what Jeff is good at.. There is a big task ahead of us now, which is to implement the laws we pass efficiently and fairly."

The New York Times, Sunday, quoted informed sources (who did not name them) as saying that Ron Klein's expected resignation coincided with the investigation into secret documents that were found in places belonging to US President Joe Biden.
