GENEVA, Jan 26 (KUNA) -- Director of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Liaison Office with the United Nations in Geneva, Dominique Burgeon, on Thursday voiced gratitude for the distinguished partnership with the State of Kuwait.

Burgeon made the remark to KUNA following a meeting with Kuwait's Permanent Representative at the UN and Other International Organizations in Geneva Ambassador Nasser Al-Hain.

The UN official spoke highly of the State of Kuwait as being one of the main supporters of the FAO's international efforts in tackling global food and agricultural crises.
For his part, the Kuwaiti diplomat reiterated his country's eagerness to listen to the FAO's views on agriculture and food security worldwide.
He added that the UN official had kept him posted on such issues, especially the negative impacts of climate changes on faming and crops, in addition to ways of response to the crisis, in collaboration with the international community. (end) ta.mt
