Saudi Arabia creates initial entrepreneurship association to reinforce its space industry

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia has declared the creation of a space entrepreneurship cooperation to reach expansion and sustainability as well as improve a strong foundation for the industry.

The declaration was established by the Communications, Space & Technology Commission, also recognized as CST, throughout the entity’s attendance in the seventh edition of The Garage Disrupt event.

The Deputy Governor of the Space Department at CST, Frank Salzgeber, clarified the association is prepared to establish an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the industry.

“It will be a platform to gather stakeholders to support Saudi entrepreneurs in innovation, as the Garage is the first to join this alliance,” he also said.

Salzgeber asserted that the association targets to establish a robust foundation for innovation and businessmen in the Saudi space industry by supplying access to resources and facilities, including shared workspaces and technical labs.

The alliance is going to also back entrepreneurial initiatives such as accelerator programs, workshops, in addition to hackathons, as well as connect entrepreneurs with financiers and specialists.
