Kuwait's Drug Control Administration Keen On Battling Drug Traffickers

KUWAIT, Jan 12 (KUNA) -- In cooperation with regional and international organizations, the General Administration of Drug Control has been on the forefront of the battle against drug traffickers, foiling all attempts by those peddling their poison.
Director General of the Administration Brigadier Mohammad Qabazard told KUNA that the main strategy in Kuwait was to curb down the spread of drugs via targeting those selling narcotics.
Experts and those with the knowhow are recruited in the efforts to fend off drugs, he affirmed, adding that the administration, established according to law 614/2006, aimed at creating a security and preventative solution to the problem of drugs.
Whether on the Gulf, Arab, or international level, the administration welcomed all those who lend a hand in combating narcotics, he added.
Brig. Qabazard also noted that families and the society as a whole were involved in this fight, saying that their cooperation were necessary for the success of the campaign. (end) hmd.gta
