The lead singer of the 80's band The Go-Go's sang and danced the night away all for a great cause. Raising nearly over $160K that night to support Carlisles foundation 'animal people alliance. ' APA's Non-Profit Foundation treats neglected animals on the streets of Kolkata, India. The foundation also helps women that have been trafficked.
The evening was a success with the help of performances by, Lisa Loeb, Carnie and Wendy Wilson from Wilson Philips and humorous MCing by Margret Cho.
Close friends of Carlisle graced the red carpet including famous surf dog 'surf gidget the pug' . Gidget looked stylish dressed by fashion designer Mondo Guerra, winner of 'Project Runway All Stars'. Surf Gidget The Pug is also an advocate for rescuing animals and has formed her own Non-Profit 501(c)3, 'surf gidget the pug healing hearts foundation '.
