QIIB Obtains ISO 27001 Quality Certificate In Information Security Management System

QIIB has obtained the ISO 27001 certificate, which is considered one of the most prestigious international certificates in the field of cyber security, and granted to institutions and companies that achieve the best conditions and standards in the field of information security, preserving customer data, and making every effort to improve the level of digital security.
The institution responsible for issuing ISO 27001 certificates confirmed that the certificate granted to QIIB extends to a period of three years and was obtained by the bank after its success in achieving all the required conditions and standards, the most important of which are the advanced technological infrastructure, high professional and technical level of cybersecurity management in the bank, and the controls in place in various departments of QIIB to maintain customer data and privacy.
Commenting on the bank's obtaining the ISO 27001 certificate, QIIB Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Abdulbasit Ahmed Al Shaibei (pictured) said,“We are happy to have obtained this prestigious certificate for the fourth time in a row, and this time for the next three years. In fact, this matter did not come out of nowhere as the Bank gives exceptional priority for cybersecurity challenges and related issues, whether related to infrastructure, advanced technological software and hardware, or qualified and trained human elements capable of dealing with information security issues with high professionalism.”
He noted,“Acquiring ISO 27001 proves that we are on the right path in the field of information security and preservation of our customers' data of all kinds. We realise that building relationships that enjoy a high level of credibility with our customers is linked to the trust that we have enjoyed for a long time. And this aspect includes a firm commitment to preserving the interests of all customers, foremost of which is their right to have their data saved according to the best information security standards. 
“We certainly rely on the advanced technological infrastructure in the State of Qatar in the field of information technology solutions, which represents the main support for us in the field of securing our customers' information and preserving their data.”
Dr. Al Shaibei pointed out,“The importance of this certificate lies in particular in that it confirms that QIIB has responded appropriately to cybersecurity challenges through various axes, perhaps the most important of which is maintaining the security of customer data and transactions, along with the progress we are making in various aspects. 
“This mainly includes our provision of integrated products and services that enjoy the best standards adopted in the banking sector and respond to the competition and customers' aspirations in the best possible way.”
He continued:“QIIB's obtaining the ISO 27001 certificate is a clear message to all categories of our Bank's customers that we are a reliable and trusted partner who can be relied upon in terms of maintaining the confidentiality of information, data security and banking transactions.”
The CEO pointed out,“The huge global developments in the field of technology are accompanied by significant challenges in maintaining the highest cyber security standards and the Bank's cooperation with various stakeholders in the country concerned with this issue in order to attain the best possible immunity against hacking, phishing or fraud attempts, targeting various sectors- the banking sector in particular.
Dr. Al Shaibei thanked all QIIB employees for their efforts and keenness to protect customer data and for giving this aspect all the care and focus it rightfully deserves.
He also thanked the information technology and cybersecurity cadres in the bank for their exceptional efforts in continue applying the best international standards in the field of cybersecurity and data protection.
