Nine Houses Damaged By Missile Strike In Rivne


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Nine houses in Rivne were damaged in a Russian missile strike early on Saturday, October 22, with no civilian casualties recorded.

Rivne Mayor Oleksandr Tretiak said this in a statement on , Ukrinform reports.

'Fortunately, there are no casualties. The city is gradually coming back to life,' he said.

According to Tretiak, 16 units of specialized equipment of the regional garrison of the State Emergency Service and almost 100 rescue personnel were involved in eliminating the consequences of the missile attack.

Meanwhile, the head of the Rivne regional military administration, Vitaliy Koval,  that nine buildings had been damaged in the Russian attack. These are residential, commercial and administrative buildings. Restoration of roofs and windows is ongoing.

Early on October 22, Russian troops launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine, targeting critical infrastructure in various regions.

According to the Office of the President of Ukraine, almost 1.5 million consumers were left without electricity after Russian troops launched missile strikes on energy facilities in Ukraine on the morning of October 22.
