Big Tech Show for startups underway in Mysuru, Karnataka Mysuru, Oct 20 (KNN) The two-day Big Tech Show organised by the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) is underway in Mysuru till October 20, 2022.
The primary aim of the summit is to showcase the progress made by the technology industry of Mysuru, which is being projected as the new global hub for cyber security and Semiconductor industry including Electronics System Design and manufacturing (ESDM).
During the ongoing summit, Mysuru Blue event was organised to connect investors with startups that had been selected after a rigorous evaluation process. A total of ten select startups pitched their ideas to a panel of investors as part of the programme.
The startup ideas included smart helmets with Internet of Things (IoT) features, a new generation of electric and solar geysers, digital mobile planetarium etc. A panel of seven investors heard the startup ideas and gave their review.
There will also be a startup showcase, where a total of 26 startups will be displaying their technology, services, products and talent. The event is expected to become their“springboard to access funds, advisors, mentors, business partners” etc,
On the first day of the summit, a session on Women at Work or W@W was held in which women leaders in industry, academics and social entrepreneurship shared their ideas and experiences to a larger audience of women.
The Summit will also be witnessing a walkathon, which is scheduled to be held on October 20, to bring together a large number of participants form the IT industry in Mysuru, who will walk for a distance of about five kilometres on the main thoroughfares of the city, starting fr0m the Mysuru palace.
