
Moci Undersecretary Meets USQBC President
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) H E Sultan bin Rashid Al Khater (right) met yesterday with the President of US-Qatar Business Council (USQBC) Scott Taylor (left), who is currently visiting Qatar.
The meeting was also attended by the Qatar Managing Director for USQBC Sheikha Mayes bint Hamad Al Thani. During the meeting, officials discussed and exchanged views on issues of common interest, as well as aspects of bilateral cooperation in the trade, investment, and industrial fields, as well as means to enhance and develop them, in light of the distinguished ties and common strategic interests binding the two nations.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry previewed the economic policies adopted by Qatar to diversify the national economy and support the private sector.
He also highlighted the incentives, legislation, and promising opportunities available in the country, aimed at encouraging investors, businessmen, and American company owners to invest in Qatar.
