
Paramilitary Trooper Killed, Two Others Wounded In IED Blast In India's Jharkhand
The attack took place on Friday evening, in the Saranda Jungles of Manoharpur in Chaibasa district, about 200 km south of Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand.
According to a police officer, two IED blasts were carried out at the time, when the CRPF contingent was out in the forest area, on an anti-Naxal operation.
India's federal government has resolved to eradicate Naxalism before the 31st of March, 2026, while currently, Naxals are active across the central and eastern parts of India.
India's former prime minister, Manmohan Singh, once termed the Naxalite movement as India's“greatest internal security challenge.”– NNN-PTI
