Qatar Economic Forum To Chart Solutions For Global Challenges

Doha: Focusing on efforts on equalising global economic recovery, the second 'Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg' will take place from June 20-22 in Doha. 

Under the patronage of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the second edition of global forum will host heads of state and over 500 business leaders to discuss ways to equalise the global economic recovery.

The 2022 programme will spotlight solutions to some of the most pressing global challenges, including the misalignment between jobs of the future and the workforce of today; tangled supply chains; a looming debt crisis; and widening global inequalities. The discussions aim to contribute to a clear roadmap for the next phase of global economic growth.

Commenting on the significance of this year's Qatar Economic Forum, Minister of Commerce and Industry H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, said:“Making conscientious decisions about the future of the global economy is a priority for governments and businesses, who are navigating a shifting financial landscape, new technologies, and a progressive focus on energy security.”

The Minister added:“The Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg is an opportunity for dialogue that supports our country's strategic directive to produce impactful growth, whilst encouraging forward-looking economic cooperation, with a view to the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.”
