Iran's TPO makes training session on exchange diplomacy

(MENAFN) On Saturday, the TPO portal stated in a report that Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) has made an exchange diplomacy training course in the capital in cooperation with the International Trade Centre and the nation’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The opening ceremony of the course was joined by senior administrators including French Ambassador to Iran Philippe Thiebaud, Senior Advisor to Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Jalaledin Alavi Sabzevari, as well as TPO’s Deputy chief for Export Markets Development Ahmad-Reza Alaei Tabatabaei.

Thiebaud stated at the ceremony, referring to the European Union's wish to grow exchange ties with Iran based on joint benefits, and stated: "Currently, EU and Iran trade has reached a significant level.”

Thiebaud stated that "Last year, about 20 percent of Iran's imports came from the European Union, and the volume of trade between the two sides increased to about five billion euros."
