Kabul Blast Leaves Six People Dead, 11 Wounded: MoT

KABUL: The consecutive blasts in Dasht-e-Barchi area of Kabul left six people dead and five 11 others wounded, the Ministry of Interior said.

The blast targeted educational institutions in west of Kabul. The first blast targeted a training center and was followed by two back-to-back blasts.

No one claimed the responsibility for the attack as of now.

A spokesman for the Kabul department of security, Khalid Zadran said that the investigation is underway and further details will be shared with the media later.

However, the witness claimed that the blast left behind massive casualties.

 Former President Hamid Karzai also condemned the blast.

Karzai said such actions are being taken by elements who are against education and development of Afghanistan.

The UN Assistant Mission in Afghanistan on Twitter said that it unequivocally condemns heinous attack on schools in Kabul today.”

“Those responsible for the crime targeting schools & children must be brought to justice,” UNAMA added.
