Qatar - Prominent Indian businessman honoured

Doha: Prominent businessman and community leader, Bekal Mohammed Salih Haji, of Lexus Tailoring and Stores and Bombay Silk Center was feted at a large gathering of top business personnel at a function organised at Oasis Club.

Salih completed 50 years of expatriate life in Qatar. It is a real life story of rags to riches. The function was attended by Patron of Lexus Tailoring and Stores, Khalifa Sultan Khalifa Al Suwaidi; Patron of Bombay Silk Center, Ali Misnad Al Mohannadi; Patron of Dana Center, Nabeel Abdullah Al Khalaf and many well-known business persons from the Qatari and Indian Community attended.

Salih landed in Qatar 50 years back in a December 1971 and strived hard by trying many businesses but finally settled in the fashion industry. Now as a successful business man he has fulfilled his dreams. More than 1,500 employees are currently working under him.

From Japan to UK, India to Qatar, he has his business network. The speakers lauded the achievements of Bekal Mohammed Salih Haji and pointed out that his hard work, sincerity and self-confidence made him successful. His successful journey from a tiny village called Bekal to Qatar is an inspirational and motivational story for the younger generation speakers lamented.

Director of Lexus Tailoring and Stores, Mohammed Farzad Akkara welcomed the gathering. Daughter of Salih Bekal, Jafnath Beevi extended the vote of thanks. The programme was titled as 'Full Moon'.
