Kuwait's crown prince reassigns Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Sabah as Prime Minister

(MENAFN) According to state news agency Kuna, on Tuesday crown prince of Kuwait published an Emiri announcement putting back sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Sabah as prime Minister with the duty of creating a new cabinet.

Based on to a statement by Emiri Diwan, in the previous week, Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed released a declaration to appoint his half-brother and Crown Prince Sheikh Meshal Al Sabah with important constitutional authorities, involving allocating a new prime minister.

Sheikh Meshal had encountered past parliament speakers and prime ministers across the last two days for discussions before appointing the prime minister.

The former government, the third ran by Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Khalid, was the second to leave this year after a dispute with Kuwait's voted parliament. The stalemate had delayed financial improvement and crippled governmental work.
