Greek, Turkish officials: Tourism may aid in improving ties
(MENAFN) In line with chief officials of Greece and Turkey, tourism can be essential while trying to develop mutual ties, amid Turkey and Greece facing tensions for some problems.
Turkey’s culture and tourism minister announced during the 9th Turkish-Greek Tourism Meeting that took place in the western city of Izmir, that Ankara seeks to increase relations along with Athens in every field, and tourism can bring the countries tighter to know each other better, adding that “We see Greece as a partner, not a rival,” according to Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.
Ersoy continued by declaring that going to Greece without a visa for Turkish people is an important thing for Ankara, with the reopening of transport services from seaside Turkey’s towns to Greek islands.
