
Qatar Education Ministry honours 100 teachers on World Teachers' Day
(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, on the occasion of World Teachers' Day, honoured 100 teachers who have spent over 30 years in the teaching profession.
Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulwahed Al Hamadi and Assistant Undersecretary for Education Affairs at the Ministry of Education, Fawzia Al Khater honoured the teachers in a ceremony held today morning at Al Mirqab Hall at the Four Seasons Hotel.
Present on the occasion was the Unicef Head of Office in Qatar, Anthony MacDonald who addressed the audience on the significance of the day.
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education celebrates this occasion annually coinciding with the International Teachers' Day approved by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in recognition of their essential role as a pillar of the educational process.
