Prithvi Simha is a Doctoral Candidate in Environmental Engineering at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. His research focuses on developing treatment technologies that safely recycle plant nutrients from source-separated human waste. He is developing a technology that converts human urine into dry, hygienic, and high-quality solid fertiliser. He works with sanitation systems design, implementation, and evaluation. He also works with behavioral change dynamics and routinely investigates stakeholder perceptions and attitudes to new sanitation practices and technologies.
