Saudi Arabia prolongs travel stoppage on civilians to middle of May


(MENAFN) According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency, on Friday, Jan. 29, Saudi Arabia declared prolonging the travel stoppage on civilians until May 17, as part of preventive procedures against coronavirus.

The ban on citizens leaving the Kingdom and opening all sea, land and air frontiers was programmed to be annulled on March 31.

The prolonging resolution was anchored in the postponed delivery of coronavirus vaccine, stated the Ministry of Interior.

In the meantime, the Health Ministry declared on Friday the recording of 267 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the amassed infections to 367,543. The fatalities climbed to 6,368 with the recording of two new losses.
