Migrants storm borders trying to cross from Morocco into Melilla

(MENAFN)According to officials, over 150 migrants attacked the border fence separating the Spanish cooperative Melilla from Morocco early on Tuesday with almost 90 managing to cross.

A representative for the Spanish government’s local delegation stated that the event held just before dawn where the fence crosses the Nano River indicating “87 of them” got across in spite of efforts to prevent them by the Moroccan and Spanish security forces.

The event considered as the largest mass attempt to cross the border fence since August 20 when some 300 people attacked the fence, while only around 30 planned to get across and one died in the attempt.
