Lebanon: 3,144 corona infections, 53 deaths in 24 hours

BEIRUT, Jan 18 (KUNA) -- Lebanon on Monday reported 3,144 new infection cases with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) raising the caseload to 255,956.
Lebanese Ministry of Health said in its daily briefing recording 53 new deaths during past 24 hours, with the death toll jumping to 1,953.
It added that the tally of recoveries rose to 154,611, while 12,371 swab tests were conducted during the last 24 hours.
Lebanon, since January 14, has been observing an emergency health status along with a curfew, in effect until 25th of the current month. (end)
