Jordan- Investigations indicate racketeers linked to drug dealers - PSD
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Oct. 23 (Petra)-- Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh said the security campaign launched Saturday has already enabled the PSD to arrest 599 wanted persons and suspects, few of which have managed to escape but ongoing efforts are underway to track them down.
Expanded investigations carried out by the department, Hawatmeh added, revealed a connection between racketeers and drug dealers.
He noted that the Anti-Narcotics Department took part in investigations for 61 drug-related cases and have arrested 120 individuals.
Hawatmeh called on citizens to report any information they have regarding drug dealers by sending a whatsapp message to (0790196196), which will be handled with the utmost confidentiality.
