Qatar- Minister of Commerce and Industry meets Russian officials


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Moscow: The Minister of Commerce and Industry, H E Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, met separately, yesterday, with the Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Anton Kobyakov, Chairman of the Qatari-Russian Business Council, Ahmed Blancoev, President of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Alexander Shokhin, and First Deputy CEO of Russian Direct Investment Fund, Tagir Sitdekov.
 During these meetings, they reviewed bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and Russia. 
They discussed aspects of joint cooperation, especially in the areas of trade, investment and industry and ways of strengthening and developing them in light of the friendly ties between the two countries.
 The meetings witnessed the highlighting of the developments in the Qatari economy over the past years, the investment opportunities in all sectors, and the legislation approved by the State, as well as the initiatives to support the private sector to increase foreign direct investment and attract more Russian companies to the Qatari market.Also, the meetings touched on mechanisms to support joint investments and stimulate the private sector to establish innovative investment projects in key sectors that will serve the economic trends of both countries.
 H E the Minister of Commerce and Industry pays a visit to the Russian Federation to lead Qatar's delegation in the fourth session of the Russian-Qatari Joint Committee for Economic, Commercial and Technical Cooperation, which started yesterday at the level of experts and concludes today.
