Kuwait PM directs raising efficiency of gov't bodies
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 7 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Thursday directed improving government bodies performance, urging the ministers to hold the negligent accountable.
This came during a meeting held at His Highness the Prime Minister's Diwan with the ministers and in the presence of Sheikh Ahmad Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, head of Government Performance Follow-Up Agency (GPFA).
Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak and the ministers listened to a presentation by Sheikh Ahmad Mishal on the projects and the timetables of carrying them as planned, and the observations of the regulatory bodies on the government agencies, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh said after the meeting.
They were also briefed on the implementation of the recommendations of the parliamentary committee of budgets and final account, Al-Saleh added.
The meeting was held in light of the government's attention to improve its bodies' services and facilitate implementing projects as well as complete measures in this matter.
Among these measures were the meeting of the coordinating committee of the Council of Ministers with all agents and leaders in government agencies, discussing all observations contained in the reports of the regulatory bodies and the recommendations of the parliamentary committee, as well as dealing with means of raising the level of performance and facilitating the completion of projects, and others.
They studied the results of the report submitted by Sheikh Ahmad Mishal, obstacles against executing projects as planned and the causes led to the observations of the regulatory bodies as well as means of addressing them practically in order to facilitate the implementation of projects.
As a result, the Premier directed forming a commission to offer practical solutions to end all obstacles against carrying out projects within the timetables, Al-Saleh noted.
They also were briefed on observations by the regulatory bodies on the government agencies and implementing the parliamentary committee's observations as well as proposals of the government agencies on raising their performance.
Finally, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak and the ministers lauded efforts made in preparing the report. (pickup previous)
