German stocks fall

German stocks dropped on Tuesday, the benchmark DAX index lost 1.32 percent to set at 12,263.83 points.

The worst performer of the blue chips was Deutsche Post declining 3.92 percent, multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer followed with a 3.42 percent decline, renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical shed 3.08 percent.

German airlines Lufthansa, energy group E.ON and automotive supplier Continental were the only three gainers, adding 0.69 percent, 0.57 percent and 0.02 percent respectively.

Bayer was the most traded share with a turnover of USD249.7 million.
