(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Cairo, June 20, 2019, SPA -- The Arab Parliament affirmed the peace option in the Republic of Yemen that is based on the political solution of Gulf Initiative and its executive mechanism, outcomes of the comprehensive national dialogue and the UN Security Council resolutions related to the Yemeni issue, foremost of Resolution No. 2216 of 2015.
This came in a resolution of the Arab Parliament on "Developments of the situation in the Republic of Yemen", issued at the conclusion of the fourth plenary session held today in Cairo.
The Arab Parliament stressed its position in support of the legitimacy of the internationally recognized Republic of Yemen, represented by President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, and supporting Yemen's security, stability, unity and territorial integrity.
The Arab Parliament welcomed the resumption of the activity of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Yemen which held its meeting in the city of Sayoun in the province of Hadramout, and the formation of a new Presidency to be a support and representative of the Yemeni people in the restoration of state and end the coup.
The Arab Parliament lauded the initiatives of the countries of coalition to support the legitimacy in Yemen through the projects of relief, treatment and development assistance, the most urgent of which is the emergency relief campaign with the participation of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, and the Emirates Red Crescent.
