Saudi- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques approves the disbursement of an incentive bonus to a number of GAB's employees

Jeddah,May 27, 2019 SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has approved the disbursement of an incentive bonus amounting to SR 18,747,467 for 627 employees of the General Auditing Bureau (GAB) for their professional excellence in carrying out their missions and control works during the financial year 1439/1440 AH, which resulted in the disclosure of the disbursement of amounts by some of the entities covered by the auditing of the Bureau without legal bonds or failure to follow up the collection of some revenues due to the State's General Treasury or the missing of some rights contrary to the provisions of regulations and instructions or correcting accounting processes and financial holdings. The total disclosed amount during the fiscal year mentioned is approximately SR 17 billion and 328 million.
This generous approval comes as a result of the payment of an incentive bonus to the staff of the General Auditing Bureau in accordance with the provisions of Article (26) of the Bureau regulation issued by the Royal Decree No. (M/9) dated 11/11/1391H, which stipulates that the President of the Bureau in accordance to his suggestion and the approval of the Prime Minister to pay an incentive bonus to the staff of the GAB, whose diligence leads to the provision of huge sums money to the State's General Treasury or to save a large amount money of the State funds from a real danger.
This generous approval also represents a strong support for the positive results achieved by the GAB in its various supervisory activities in accordance with its statutory competencies in the areas of financial auditing and performance control, and the importance of its role in the subsequent monitoring of all the revenues and expenses of the State.
On this occasion, the President of the General Audit Bureau, Dr. Hossam bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Anqari, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his generous approval to pay this generous bonus to employees and his constant concern to enable the GAB to carry out the roles entrusted to it and perform its responsibilities at the highest levels of professional quality in accordance with the directives of the King and HRH Crown Prince.
