Turkey, Russia launch TurkStream sea section
(MENAFN) Turkey and Russia were announced to be scheduled for launching the sea section of the TurkStream natural gas pipeline on Monday in Istanbul.
The giant transit-free natural gas pipeline aims to supply Russian gas to Turkey and Europe through Ukraine.
The Turkish presidency stressed that the inauguration commemorates "what is another concrete milestone of the strengthening and diversifying Turkish-Russian energy relationship."
It added that "both countries are determined to maintain their close cooperation in energy like in all the other fields in the coming period."
