Qatar Academy Al Khor celebrates graduation of Class 2018


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar Academy Al Khor, member of Qatar Foundation, has celebrated the graduation of Class 2018 on its campus in Al Khor, in the presence ofsenior officials, dignitaries and the parents of the graduating students.
Aisha al-Megbali, director of the Academy, congratulated the graduates on their excellent results and asked them to continue the good work throughout their university life.
'Today, we are here to witness the graduation of our second batch from Qatar Academy Al Khor, a member of Qatar Foundation, which was born prestigious and will remain prestigious and unique despite all the challenges. Students who are small in number but grand in having many skills and talents, they are able to adapt and respond to change, rely on themselves and the support of their esteemed families and from their second home Qatar Academy, she said.
She addressed the eight distinguished graduates comprising five young men and three young women and congratulated them saying: 'I am sure that many of you might have a great deal of anxiety and worry about what the future holds for you. I just want to let you know that your future is full of opportunities and adventures because we are fortunate that we live in a distinguished golden age in our country, led by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani. All you have to do is to increase your effort to achieve what you deserve and what this country deserves.
Lulwa al-Khater, Official Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry, who attended the programme as a distinguished guest, warmly congratulated the graduates, the school and the parents. She said they are living a historic moment in their life, reaping the outcomes of hard work. However, she urged them to take life seriously and continue the hard work and grab the opportunity of having a choice in life.
She pointed out that being a graduate from the school is a blessing, as around 60mn children around the world are deprived of their right to education. She said Qatar has seen comprehensive development and progress during the reign of His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, and Her Highness Sheikha Moza has been sponsoring a considerable number of educational projects. 'Such great progress has also been taken to higher levels by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani. Accordingly, she advised the graduates to adopt hard work and make proper choices to be able to be up to the high expectations of the country.
Frank Esposito, Senior School Principal at the Academy, also congratulated the students and briefed them on the ‘new different' world awaiting them at the university.
As the ceremony concluded, the graduates were presented with awards and certificates.
