Kuwaiti oil price down USD 84 cents to 59.66 pb


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, March 3 (KUNA) -- The price of Kuwaiti oil went down by USD 84 cents to USD to 59.66 per barrel Friday after it was at USD 60.50 pb the day before, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Saturday.

At the global level, prices of oil continued to decline on Friday as Asian share markets extended a selloff on Wall Street after news of planned US tariffs on steel and aluminum raised fears of a trade war.

President Donald Trump announced he would impose hefty tariffs on the two metals to protect US producers, risking retaliation from major trade partners like China, Europe and neighboring Canada.

The Brent crude went down by tw0 cents to USD 63.81 per barrel, the same case with the American crude, which went down by 11 cents to USD 60.18 pb. (end) mam.ha
