Tourism in Paris lost USD849.38m in H1


(MENAFN) Officials said that militant attacks, strikes and floods kept foreign tourists away from the French capital, Paris, in H1 of this year. Also that coasted the tourism industry nearly USD849.38m.

Frederic Valletoux, head of the Paris region tourist board stated: "It"s time to realize that the tourism sector is going through an industrial disaster. This is no longer the time for communication campaigns but to set up a relief plan."

However, about 500,000 people in Ile-de-France have jobs in the tourism sector, making it the biggest industry in the region France.
