S. Korea launches 2 nuclear reactors worth USD4.5b
(MENAFN) South Korea dedicated two new nuclear reactors at a cost of USD4.5 billion, that will account for 3 percent of the nation's electricity yield.
These reactors can generate 158 million kilowatt hour of power per year, thus allowing the country push up its electricity reserve ratio by some 3.4 percent.
Moreover, the reactors were wholly developed in South Korea, making it possible for them to be exported with minimum restrictions and complications.
"The reactors will help the country better meet its obligations to combat climate change as a responsible member of the international community," said a state official.
