Saudi Arabia reaffirms resolve to defeat terrorism


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Moahmmad bin Naif bin Abdulazizi Al Saud, presided over a meeting of the chiefs of security sectors here on Saturday evening.
During the meeting, he conveyed condolences and consolation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the families of "martyrs of duty" and sons of the motherland, who died in the terrorist bombing in Abha city on Thursday, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The attack targeted a mosque of the Special Emergency Forces in Assir Region, killing 15 security personnel and wounding 33 others.
Prince Mohammad bin Naif prayed that Allah bestow mercy on the martyrs, lodge them in the Paradise and grant the injured quick recovery.
"Such accidents will never weaken our resolve to confront and deter whosoever attempts to tamper with the motherland's security and gains," he vowed.
Prince Mohammed bin Naif called for intensified efforts to upgrade the precautionary measures and the preparedness of the security forces.
The meeting reviewed plans related to last Ramadhan Umrah's season and the plans for the next Hajj season, according to the report.
