With the iconic Saturday night parade happening on Halloween itself Fantasy Fest 2015 is already poised to shatter the tourism records that we set this year.
“A fair amount of our Fantasy fest business is year-to -year repeat” said Norman Vogel owner of the iconic Key West restaurant the Roof Top Café. “We have several tables that have been reserved by the same people and the last thing they do before they leave is make the reservation for next year. We have the best views for watching the parade and offer one of the best deals on the island so when people are making plans for their island vacations for Fantasy Fest we are one of the first restaurants they turn to.”
To organize such a major event means making plans years in advance and Fantasy Fest is no exception. Taking place every year during the last week of October dates are already scheduled into the 2020’s. What makes next year’s event such a special attraction however is the perfect coinciding of Halloween being on that Saturday night. While now known for the variety of theme parties that take place during the eight day run up to Saturday first and foremost the party is known for the extravagant parade that winds its way through historic Old Town Key West. The parade is always the busiest night of the busiest week but when the calendar lines up perfectly like it will next year with Fantasy Fest scheduled to run October 23rd through November 1st the draw is even greater.
“We have had customers who specifically tell us that they only come when the parade is actually on Halloween” Mr. Vogel went on to say. “If all of those people come back next year along with the record number of people we saw this year it will easiest be the craziest Fantasy Fest Key West has ever seen.”
