(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim on Tuesday congratulated Ahmet Davutoglu on his designation as Turkey's new Prime Minister.
In a cable addressed to the Turkish premier-designate, Al-Ghanim said "it pleases me to express to your nation, on behalf of myself and my fellow National Assembly members in the State of Kuwait, my utmost congratulations on the trust bestowed upon you by your wise political leadership.
"I pray that God Almighty give you strength and support you in your task of continuing your contributions in the service of your dear nation," he added.
Davutoglu, who is the ruling AK Party leader, was designated to the post earlier in the day by his party after being nominated by President-elect Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
